Space: NASA Reductions

I'm curious if tea party (remember the original tea party patriots where asking for representation for taxation, not less taxes) goers may be tempted to simultaneously rally against government spending, and complain about NASA budget reductions? Is this analogous to asking for reduced deficits and lower taxes at the same time?
