Earthquake Sichuan Province

After listening to an NPR report this morning, I realized how little I understood about the Chinese province which sustained an Earthquake yesterday.

This wikipedia page counts the population at over 87 million. Also, given the location of the province between the Himalaya and Qinling mountain ranges, it is not surpising the US Geological Society's seismic hazzard map shows the area prone to tectonic activity.

Thanks, Mark, I was trying so hard not to worry. Didn't you love the post showing Hannah Li and her blonde-haired friend? Love, Mom

Thanks, Mark--I should've put a Chinese map up long ago on my blog. You're right about documenting the adoption experience for others' benefit. I was certainly reminded of that in a big way last night. Maybe I should get you to set up one of those flickr pages and tell me how to use that. Might be an easier way to put on large sets of pictures, which we'll no doubt have when we get to China.

Love you!
