Happy Birthday, Nancy. I wish the phrase were true, but sometimes along the way there are more difficult steps or maybe it's all in the way I handle the journey. A birthday Game--sounds intriguing. Love, Mom
Ahh, I wish the phrase were true, too, but I believe there are some quite difficult steps along the journey, as well. We've all had our journeys that are beautiful and complicated in many ways, right? I do believe the difficult steps help to grow and mature us in many ways, though.
I was outside today after grocery shopping, looking at my beautiful roses Michael sent me while in Iraq. They have some lovely bright pink buds blooming today. I was reminded, though, of how thankful I am that this birthday I get to look forward to him coming home from work at night. Seems like a simple thing, but it was profound to me. I have so much to be thankful for!
