The Hughen Family Welcomes Home the Philosopher

Sorry it took me so long to say so, but we enthusiastically welcome you home Michael.

The other day, while in Austin, Denise and I were hiking close to Barton Springs, and noticed the philosopher's rock statue. We wish you as much leisure as these philosophers seemed to have, reflecting by the spring.

We welcome you to unlace you're boots for a while, and slip on your sandals. Welcome Home!

Mark, Denise, and Isaac:

That's one of my favorite statues in Austin! How'd you guys know?

It's great to be back home, and things are just like I had never left. Time is full of wrestling, talking, diaper changing, and just having fun.

Thanks for the post for Veterans' Day, too--just now saw it, with the NPR link. I'm a little behind the times!

Love to y'all--see you soon!

Michael

What a perfect tribute for our returning warrior! As Mark says, may you enjoy all the wonderful things that you've missed this year.

Welcome home. Love, Mom H
